Chi Rho2

A few weeks ago, I made this Facebook cover photo for my friend Scotty’s company, Chi Rho Clothing. (My tank in the header is from there, and you may remember this post and this one) I knew some cool stuff was coming, but was unprepared for this…

BWB S/S 2013 Concept Designs

For the past few months, I’ve been working on some Spring + Summer design ideas for Bought With Blood, an awesome Christian clothing company here in Richmond.

BWB color scheme

These are just concept designs, none of them are set in stone yet! But that is not to say we don’t have our favorites… *cough* the first one on the left *cough*

It is also important to note that our target customer is a young(ish) surfer/skater/snowboarder living in urban and coastal areas. Hence, le neon yellow.

Even though design is not my thing, I’m still pretty proud of the way these are shaping up. I cannot wait to see some of them on tanks! What do you guys think, have any favorites?

Head over to the website here, or check BWB out on facebook!

Chi Rho Clothing 2012 Logo Tee Shoot

You already know how much I love Chi Rho Clothing, and I’m thrilled to tell you all that I’ll now officially  be working for the company! Very exciting stuff. For those of you who don’t know, the company is a non-profit Christian organization started by my friend Scotty that aims to end human trafficking with an emphasis on Nepal. Proceeds from every shirt go to the Red Thread Movement, an organization that rescues girls from the sex trade and provides them with shelter and a job. We are extremely passionate about helping the victims and want to make great tees while we’re at it!

Check out the photos from our shoot for the latest tee!

Pretty awesome right? It always helps when the founder looks like a super model! I couldn’t make this shoot but I promise it looks great on girls too!

Want to learn more? Check out our Facebook Page and if you would like to buy the new tee, head over to our online store! You can also see a DIY I did with one of the Chi Rho Tank Tops here.

Chi Rho Clothing Tee DIY

One of of my good friends recently started Chi Rho Clothing, a non-profit Christian clothing line that focuses on combatting human trafficking in Nepal. Chi Rho Clothing is partnered with the Red Thread Movement, which seeks to not only rescue girls but also provide safe houses to keep them out of slavery. All proceeds go to helping the girls, so I of course bought a shirt! I love the simplicity of the Chi Rho symbol (read about it here) but decided to add my own twist to the shirt.

(Word of advice, Michael’s nor Hobby Lobby carry studs… fools… so I went to Joann’s and found these still attached to the leather, which I like better anyway!)

I went for a military inspired look.  Here’s a better photo of the finished product! I might end up adding more  safety pins to the front! What do you think?

It’s a little difficult to put on, what with chains dangling all over the place, but I love wearing it! When people stop me to ask about it, I can tell them all about Chi Rho’s cause. With the social media awareness v.s. action debate going on, it is refreshing to be able to help in a concrete way. And plus, don’t they look cool?
