I’ve tried for about fifteen minutes to write a few sentences down here that sum up why I love Olivier’s work so much, but I just cannot articulate it in words. His designs are a breath of fresh air: sophisticated, expertly crafted, innovative but still wearable… I just love it to pieces.
Get ready to see his work in every magazine this Spring! Cannot wait!

Model of the Month: Willy Cartier
Does anyone remember way back in the day when I did a Model of the Week segment? I loved doing those! I have decided to reinstate the segment, but this time, I will focus on a new model every month. That will help me to be consistent!
So without any further ado, Artemis’ first official Model of the Month is…
He’s French, he’s swarthy and he’s a dancer! I do not know much about Willy, except that I adore his look. While I would like to avoid putting Willy in a box, there is no denying that he looks like a Spanish pirate mixed with an Indian brave. I mean, how could you go wrong?
He has been wildly successful with Givenchy and Jean Paul Gaultier, and is the darling of editorials across the globe. I cannot wait to see his face everywhere. Hello, H+M, are you listening?
I think Willy’s success is due in part to his unique appeal; his youth is obvious, but there is something almost ancient about him. It’s like he is from a century long ago, one with mystery, chivalry and a little danger thrown into the mix. I dig it.

Also, there is a fabulous Tumblr dedicated to Willy with some photos from campaigns, street style to his Instagram. I don’t mean to comment on his personal life, but two words: Frank Ocean (!)
